![]() ![]() Clark is a Democrat.Įllen Gavin, 68, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Arts Council. This position requires Senate confirmation and compensation is $100 per day. Earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture and Painting from Austin State University. He served two terms as a member of the Cahuilla Tribal Council and is an enrolled citizen of the tribe. Clark was chair of the arts department at Northeast Texas Community College from 1996 to 1998. He was an assistant professor of arts at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, from 1998 to 2004. Clark was the cultural preservation coordinator for the Cahuilla Band of Indians from 2009 to 2010. He held several positions at Idlewild Arts Academy from 1998 to 2016, including Chair of the Department of Visual Arts, Assistant Instructor of the Arts, and Summer Arts Faculty. Clark has served as Professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Riverside since 2016. Gerald Clark, 54, of Enza, has been appointed to the California Arts Council. She is also a member of the Los Angeles Music Center’s Club 100. Captor is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, America’s Who’s Greenlight Women and Creative Coalition. In 1990, she joined Ted Turner as Senior Original Programming Executive, creating Turner Network Television. ![]() Captor was executive director of the San Francisco International Film Festival and Society from 2001 to 2006. He was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the Republic of France in 2005 for his work in art. She was a faculty member at Emerson College LA. Captor has been an Associate Faculty at Santa Monica College since 1986, an Emmy-nominated and award-winning filmmaker at Messina Captor Films Inc since 1994, and a teacher at the New York Film Academy since 2022.
